About the Museum

Situated adjacent to the historic hotel at Hukerenui, approximately 30km north of Whangarei on State Highway 1, the Jack Morgan Museum houses the collection of local identity Jack Morgan and includes a fine collection of stationary engines, agricultural implements, artefacts relating to the local area, the railway and local maori.

A Community Project

The Jack Morgan Museum would simply not exist without the huge financial input from the past and present Hukerenui community along with grants from ASB Community Trust, Oxford Trust, Lion Foundation, Pub Charities and Whangarei District Council.
