JACK MORGAN MUSEUM - HUKERENUI, Northland New Zealand

The JACK MORGAN MUSEUM is situated adjacent to the historic hotel at Hukerenui approximately 30km north of Whangarei on State Highway 1.

The museum will house the collection of local identity Jack Morgan (Pictured Right at the official opening of the Museum on 11 July 2010, his 94th birthday). This collection has been built up over the past 30 years.

It includes a fine collection of stationary engines (mostly in running order), agricultural implements, artefacts relating to the local area, the railway and local maori.

The museum is being constructed by the Jack Morgan Museum Incorporated, a registered NZ charity.

The Museum and Hotel will together provide a convenient refreshment stop for travellers on SH1 with the museum, a cafe and public toilets on the same site. There will be ample parking.

We acknowledge financial support to date from Pub Charity and a number of local sponsors.
